Ssangyong Engineering & Construction
(Ssangyong E&C) has revealed its plans to launch apartment sales at “The
Platinum Seodaemun”, in Seoul’s Hong-eun-dong, Seodaemun-gu, from this
monthh.
The complex will comprise three buildings,
each with four basement levels and up to 20 floors above ground, for a total of
177 households. Of these, 62 apartments, of 59 and 84 square meters, will be
offered for general sale.
Access to major infrastructure is among the
development’s key strengths, with its educational environment a particular
selling point. Myeongji, Chungam and Hongyeon elementary schools, Myeongji and
Yeonhui middle schools, and Myeongji and Chungam high schools are all located
nearby. Myongji
University is also close to the complex, while a cluster of private academies
is located immediately next to the site, adding to the area’s educational
environment.
The pleasantness of the surrounds is
another plus, with a green corridor connecting Hongjecheon Stream with major
mountains in Seodaemun-gu, giving residents access to lush natural spaces
despite their urban location.
Additionally, a bus stop directly in front
of the complex runs services at 10-minute intervals, connecting to Saejeol
Station on Seoul Subway Line 6, and Hapjeong Station. The Hong-eun and Hongje
ramps for the Naebu Expressway are also nearby, providing convenient access to
major downtown areas as well as Mapo, Sangam, Seongbuk and northeastern Seoul.
Also, subway Line 3 connects to major business hubs in Gwanghwamun and Jongno,
as well as the general Gangnam area.
Around the project site, many other
urban renewal projects are currently underway and raising the general sense of
anticipation in the area. These range from smaller residential redevelopments
to larger-scale renewal projects, in Eungam-dong, Bukgajwa-dong and
Namgajwa-dong.
Well-established sports and leisure
amenities will also be within reach. Residents will have convenient access to
the Seodaemun Culture and Sports Center, “Modu-ui Geori” near Myongji
University, and various commercial and convenience facilities in Hong-eun-dong
and Namgajwa-dong.
As the complex is being developed in an
established, mature area, new residents can also enjoy use of a wealth of
pre-existing infrastructure from the moment they move in.
The Platinum Seodaemun model house will
open next month at 235 Susaek-ro, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, near Susaek Station on
the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. Residents are slated for a January 2030 move-in
date.
