Ssangyong Engineering & Construction (Ssangyong E&C) celebrated its 48th anniversary on October 17 with a ceremony held in the Main Conference Room on the 10th floor of its headquarters.

The ceremony featured an opening, long-service awards, anniversary address, congratulatory remarks, and closing. Attendees included Global Sae-A Group Chairman Kim Woong-ki, senior group executives, Ssangyong E&C leadership, headquarters executives and team leaders, and representatives of long-service awardees. Together, they reflected on the company’s achievements over the past 48 years and reaffirmed their commitment to future growth.

During his anniversary address, delivered after the awards, Ssangyong E&C CEO Kim In-soo stated, “Guided by the business philosophy of integrity and technology-driven solutions, Ssangyong E&C has turned crises into opportunities, strengthening both our profitability and financial soundness.” He added, “Moving forward, we will enhance our competitiveness and expand our global business by embracing safety, technological innovation, and collaboration as our core values. We will leap ahead into the next 50 years with a focus on digital transformation and eco-friendly operations.”

SsangYong E&C Chairman Kim Seok-joon highlighted the company’s success in managing risks at overseas sites and trust built with clients since joining the Global Sae-A Group. “Now is the time to pursue sustainable growth by focusing on our specialized competitive strengths,” he noted.

In his congratulatory remarks, Group Chairman Kim Woong-ki emphasized the fundamentals of business. “The purpose of any enterprise is to contribute to society, which requires securing sound operating profits,” he said. “Success stems from thorough preparation. Only a well-prepared organization—and its people—can seize opportunities and achieve continuous growth.”

He also offered words of encouragement to employees, stating, “A company’s greatest assets are its people and its credibility. Ssangyong E&C’s future will be even brighter as our members continue to develop and mutual trust is upheld.”
